CHARACTER PROFILE

The story of Man-Thing

Dr. Theodore “Ted” Sallis was a brilliant scientist attempting to recreate the Super-Soldier Serum in the Florida Everglades. Betrayed by his lover, Ellen Brandt, and pursued by A.I.M., Sallis injected himself with his experimental formula before crashing into a swamp. The serum reacted with mystical forces, transforming him into Man-Thing, a monstrous creature with little memory of his former life. Now bound to the Nexus of All Realities, he protects the boundaries between dimensions, instinctively responding to human emotions. His most feared ability causes anyone experiencing fear to burn at his touch.
