Frank Castle is a decorated military veteran whose wife and children are murdered after witnessing a violent crime. When the justice system fails to provide the resolution he seeks, Castle wages a one-man war on organised crime as the Punisher. Using military training, weapons and intelligence rather than superpowers, he operates far outside the moral boundaries followed by most superheroes.
