Description

Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos #81 (1970) – Marvel Comics – Original 15¢ War Comic – “The All-American!”

An original vintage Marvel war comic featuring Sgt. Nick Fury and his legendary Howling Commandos, published during the classic early years of Marvel’s military adventure series.

This issue features “The All-American!”, an action-packed story built around the newest member of the Howling Commandos, with a dramatic cover showing the transition “From the Campus Gridiron to the Blazing Battlefront!”

CONDITION

Original vintage comic with visible age-related wear.

The front cover retains bright colours, a clear central illustration and attractive overall presentation. There is noticeable wear to the spine, including handling creases and small colour breaks, together with light wear around the corners and edges.

A faint circular 5p price stamp is visible in the upper-right blue area of the cover. This is a US 15¢ cover-price copy with a UK price stamp, rather than a separately printed UK pence-price edition.

Some general surface wear and ageing are also apparent.

The back cover, interior pages, centre-fold and staples have not been inspected, so no professional numerical grade is assigned.

Please examine the supplied photograph carefully, as it shows the actual comic you will receive.

A great vintage Marvel collectible for fans of Nick Fury, the Howling Commandos, classic war comics and early 1970s Marvel history.
