Daredevil combines ideas from more than one period of the comics, so its source material is better read as a group than as one direct adaptation. Start with Daredevil #1, then compare it with #168–181 and #227–233 (Born Again). Reading the references alongside the movie makes it easier to see what the filmmakers retained, combined or reinvented for the screen.
