Deadpool & Wolverine combines ideas from more than one period of the comics, so its source material is better read as a group than as one direct adaptation. Start with Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe #1–4, then compare it with Old Man Logan #1–5 (2015) and Deadpool #27 (2014). Reading the references alongside the movie makes it easier to see what the filmmakers retained, combined or reinvented for the screen.
