Description
Marvel Preview #3, published by Marvel/Curtis in 1975, presenting a full-length Blade the Vampire-Slayer feature. This oversized black-and-white magazine contains 76 pages and features a striking painted Blade cover by Gray Morrow.
In this extended horror story, Blade continues his relentless war against the undead while confronting events and characters from his past. The issue expands Blade’s early history and brings together several chapters originally intended for the cancelled Vampire Tales, making it an important early chapter in the development of the character.
Key Significance: Major early Blade key issue, featuring an expanded origin of Blade and the first appearances of Jamal Afari and Dai Thomas. It is also one of Blade’s earliest substantial solo features, published years before the character became a major part of Marvel’s supernatural universe.
