The Amazing Spider-Man – #82 – 1970 – Marvel Comics – Original UK 1/- Price Variant – Electro Cover – Silver Age – CENTRE BOTTOM STAPLE DETATCHED

Description

An original 1970 Silver Age Spider-Man comic, featuring the return of one of Spider-Man’s most dangerous enemies, Electro (Max Dillon).

This is the genuine vintage UK 1/- (one shilling) price variant, with the original British cover price printed in the top-left corner. It is an original period printing, not a modern facsimile or reproduction.

Featuring the classic story “And Then Came Electro!”, the comic sees Spider-Man confront the electrically powered villain in a dramatic battle at a television studio. Electro plans to unmask Spider-Man before a live audience, placing Peter Parker’s secret identity in serious danger.

The story also features Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson, J. Jonah Jameson and other familiar characters from Spider-Man’s classic supporting cast.

The spectacular cover depicts Spider-Man leaping over Electro as the villain unleashes powerful electrical blasts across a crowded television studio.

Condition – Vintage Lower-Grade Copy / Staple Detachment

This is an original comic from 1970 showing noticeable age-related wear.

IMPORTANT: THE BOTTOM CENTRE STAPLE IS DETACHED.

The lower staple has become detached from the centre pages, affecting the comic’s structural condition. This is a significant defect and has been taken into account in the asking price.

Additional visible condition details include:

* General age-related wear and handling marks.
* Visible spine stress and edge wear.
* Corner wear, including rubbing and small creases.
* Age-related tanning and discolouration to the interior paper.
* Some visible wear and discolouration to the back cover.
* Front cover retains strong, attractive colours, with the Electro artwork presenting well overall.

The comic has been photographed from the front, back and interior so buyers can assess its condition.

This is being sold as a lower-grade, unrestored vintage collector’s copy, not a high-grade investment example. A professional numerical grade has not been assigned.

An excellent opportunity to own a genuine 1970 Amazing Spider-Man comic with an iconic Electro cover, at a price reflecting its visible wear and detached lower centre staple.
