Description
Ultimate Spider-Man #3, published by Marvel Comics and written by Brian Michael Bendis with artwork by Mark Bagley, from the hugely influential original Ultimate Spider-Man series.
In “Wannabe,” Peter Parker is still coming to terms with his newly acquired powers. Rather than immediately becoming the heroic Spider-Man, Peter looks for a way to make money from his abilities and enters the wrestling ring, bringing the Ultimate Universe’s version of the classic Spider-Man origin another step closer to completion.
Key Significance: Early issue from the original Ultimate Spider-Man run and the first appearance of the Ultimate Universe version of Crusher Hogan, the wrestler Peter faces during this modern retelling of Spider-Man’s origin. A desirable early Bendis/Bagley issue from the series that helped launch Marvel’s Ultimate Universe.
