The Amazing Spider-Man: Hit and Run – #3 – 1991 – Marvel Comics – Ghost Rider Appearance / Canadian Anti-Drug Giveaway

Description

The Amazing Spider-Man: Hit and Run #3, published by Marvel Comics in 1991. This is the original Canadian edition of the Spider-Man anti-drug/safe-driving story and features Danny Ketch’s Ghost Rider alongside Spider-Man. It was subsequently reprinted for the US market in 1993.

In “Hit and Run!”, Spider-Man and Ghost Rider pursue a drunk driver responsible for running down the young cousin of Phil Danton. The story combines superhero action with its road-safety and anti-drug message.

Key significance: Original 1991 Canadian edition, rather than the more commonly catalogued 1993 US reprint; Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch) appearance; part of Marvel’s four-comic Canadian Spider-Man public-service series. This is not a major conventional Spider-Man key, but the unusual distribution, Ghost Rider crossover and PSA history make it an interesting collector piece.
